My name is Bernie Browne, I have worked with dogs & other animals for over 20 years and I have been a qualififed Dog Listener for three.

I came across the concept of Dog Listening in 2002 in Jan Fennels book "The Dog Listener". My dogs had always been well behaved and responded to my commands, but when we went through a major unheaval in our lives things started to change.

When I split from my partner and moved house the dogs started to behave in a way they never had before. They became overprotective of me, had trouble toileting in the back garden and showed aggression to other dogs when they had always been so docile.


I began using the Dog Listening method and the dogs started to pay attention & recognise me as the pack leader again. I was so impressed by the method that I had to learn more. So I enrolled in courses taught by Jan and her son Tony Knight

I completed both the Foundation and Advanced Dog Listening courses gaining a Certificate in Advanced Canine Communication, and am now a member of the Association of Pure Dog Listeners.
